Vancouver Still Never Plays Itself
Vancouver has a really big film industry, and many blockbuster movies are filmed here. However, Vancouver Never Plays Itself; it’s usually a stand-in for L.A. or N.Y.C. or Seattle, and insultingly, once even played Vancouver, WA.
Even in this challenge, Vancouver still never gets to play itself. Re-enact a scene that was filmed in Vancouver on location, and submit your video recording. Your video must be created without AI and be at least 30 seconds long. You must also provide us the movie name and the rough timestamp where the scene is from so we can compare and make sure that it is a (somewhat) faithful re-enactment.
The scene must be from a somewhat popular movie or TV show.
Submit a Google Drive, YouTube, or similar link (with public viewing enabled) to your video, the associated movie/show information, and a phone number if you want to be able to be contacted about your submission.
300 points for fulfilling the required criteria:
- at least 30 seconds long
- created without AI
- movie name, and the rough timestamp within movie is provided
- an attempt made at being a re-enactment of the scene
- scene being re-enacted is clearly filmed in Vancouver
An additional discretionary 200 points depending on how much the judges like it (Kai will likely be the one judging, if it matters), evaluating based on a combination of:
- silliness,
- demonstrated effort, and
- creativity.
